RNA Associated Proteins

Argonaute proteins bind small RNAs to form RNA-induced Silencing Complex RISCs which target messenger RNAs for silencing by translation inhibition of degradation.

The Wako range of Ago and PIWIL antibodies can be used in various western blotting and immunoprecipitation protocols.

Some antibodies for immunoprecipitation methods can be used to immunoprecipitate Ago-RISC complexes from which the associated micro RNAs can be extracted for further analysis.
