Azo Initiators

Azo initiators are a mainstay of polymer chemistry and have been used in the synthesis of numerous polymers. Wako offers a range of water or oil soluble azo initiators as well as polymerisation inhibitors.

Azo initiators are often used in polymer chemistry to instigate free radical polymerisation. This is a method of chain growth polymerisation whereby the polymer is formed by successive addition of free radical building blocks.
